Increase your confidence and competence on skippering or crewing a larger yacht on extended coastal passages! TARGET DATES -- SUBJECT TO CHANGE ​ This 5 day, 4-night course for up to 4 students will train you on running an auxiliary inboard powered vessel under power and sail in all weather conditions, including varied levels of visibility during the day and night. ​ Students will gain hands-on experience with: - Route planning & weather routing - Sail handling & reefing - Coastal Navigation day & night - Anchoring Techniques - Docking - Storm Prep - Boat Systems - Watch Keeping - Cooking Underway ​ Experience the joy of coastal cruising aboard our flagship J42, Arcadia! ​ Our route will most likely be South to Cape Cod and the Islands but exact itinerary will be weather dependent and decided closer to the dates.
