Coastal Passage Making

Increase your confidence and competence on skippering or crewing a larger yacht on extended coastal passages!

This four day, 3-night course for up to 4 students will train you on running an auxiliary inboard powered vessel under power and sail in varied weather conditions, including varied levels of visibility during the day and night.

Students will gain hands-on experience with:

  • Route planning & weather routing

  • Sail handling & reefing

  • Coastal Navigation day & night

  • Anchoring Techniques

  • Docking

  • Storm Prep

  • Boat Systems

  • Watch Keeping

  • Cooking Underway

Experience the joy of coastal cruising aboard our flagship J42, Arcadia!

Our route will most likely be south to Cape Cod and the islands but exact itinerary will be weather dependent and decided closer to the dates.

TIMING: August 26-29

COST: $2095 per student*

SKILL / LEVEL: Intermediate

*Includes everything, except an approximate $100 contribution to food/drink provisioning
