  • Who is Satori Sailing affiliated with?
We are a certified NauticEd training center and also partner with First Reef Sailing, an ASA-accredited sailing school. With NauticEd our mission is to educate and train competent sailors. Sailing competence requires a comprehensive mix of knowledge, skills and experience. Once achieved, competence means a sailor will keep the crew safe, have more fun and fulfillment, and be empowered with the confidence to sail beyond visible horizons and personal boundaries. NauticEd helps students chart their own course by merging the latest technology, learning techniques, and on-the-water training into one globally accepted program. As one of the affiliated professional and accredited sailing schools we provide immersive training and a supportive sailing community to help students accomplish their personal goals.
  • Do you offer ASA or NauticEd certification?
Yes! We offer NauticEd certification directly and can help students complete ASA coursework through our affiliated partners.
  • Are your sailing courses suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. We offer sailing lessons for all levels, from first-time sailors to experienced boaters seeking certification.
  • What types of boats are used for training?
Our fleet includes a Catalina Capri 22, a Hunter 27, a Dufour 41, and a Beneteau 40. Each vessel is carefully maintained and used based on course type and skill level.
  • Do you offer private sailing lessons or charters?
Yes. We offer private sailing instruction, family charters, women-only courses, and small-group experiences customized to your goals.
  • Can I get bareboat certified with Satori Sailing?
Yes. Our bareboat certification courses prepare you to skipper your own sailboat safely and confidently in coastal or offshore waters.
  • Do you offer powerboat instruction?
Yes. In addition to sailing, we offer private and group powerboat lessons for new and experienced boaters.
  • What areas do your sailing charters explore?
We sail throughout Salem Sound, Marblehead, and Boston’s North Shore — offering scenic views of beaches, historic homes, islands, and lighthouses.
  • How many students are in each course?
We maintain a low student-to-instructor ratio for personalized instruction. Most classes have 2–4 students, depending on the course.
