Build your confidence and skills in a safe environment, whilst experiencing one of the best cruising grounds in the World.

We have two weeks available with 8 cabins per week and have tried to choose school half term weeks at home for convenience.

Saturday, February 21st - Saturday, February 28th: 7 day - 7 night Cruise

Budgetary costs are $4,995 US per cabin per week for 2 people.

To reserve your cabin, we ask for a $2,500 deposit, refundable until the end of 2025, which will enable us to book the boats and solidify pricing.

This assumes 4 cabins per boat and includes all boat costs, insurances, skipper, fuel, water, moorings and dockage.
The above cost of the trip does not include provisions, which we will split between participants and any excursions, eating out and cocktails, etc. will of course be additional.

The Boats
We are chartering a Bali 42 and and FP Astrea 42, both 4 cabin catamarans, so there is plenty of space for 8 people and fully equipped for cruising, with all the safety gear (including life jackets), cooking utensils, a grill, towels, bed linens, snorkeling gear, etc.

Each boat will have an experienced instructor / skipper to keep you safe and enhance the learning experience.

Eating and Provisioning
We will plan the exact itinerary on the Zoom call before hand - but we will do a mix of eating on the boat and dingying ashore to bars and restaurants.

Once we have decided where we are going, we will create a list and provision from a local supermarket and then split the costs between the participants.

Cruising Ground
The Grenadines are split between two countries, St. Vincent in the North and Grenada in the South. If we travel from one to the other, we need to check in and out for both Customs and immigration purposes, easy enough to do, but be aware that it can take up to half a day in each direction.

Planning is a big part of the cruising experience, so we will decide our exact itinerary together through Google Meets beforehand, but do some Googling, check out the charts and read about potential destinations.

Assume we will sail at about 6 kts (if there is not enough wind, we will motor) and we can sail for up to 8hrs per day. The charter will not allow us to sail at night.

Teaching and Certifications
The goal of the flotilla is to build experience and confidence in bareboat chartering and although we are not planning any formal lessons, we will teach as we go.

You should record the days in your logbook and they will contribute to your overall experience and rank towards bareboat chartering certification.

What to bring
February is one of the best months to visit the Grenadines, as it falls within the dry season with consistently warm temperatures; days average around 84°F but around 10°F cooler at night; there is less rainfall than other times of the year; and plenty of sunshine.

The average sea temperature is a very pleasant 80°F (27°C) and February is typically one of the least humid months. Winds are typically moderate and great for sailing.

The whole area is very informal, so shorts, t-shirts, swimmers, water shoes, etc. We may get the odd short storm, so pack a light rain jacket.

Please pack your gear in a soft bag - backpack, duffel or hold all, rather than a hard sided suitcase as soft luggage is easier to store on the boat.

Bring toiletries and any medication and let us know of any dietary requirements on the planning call so we can provision appropriately.

Cruising is a bit like luxury camping on the water, so think of it that way as you pack, and try not to pack too much as space is limited.
