Learn to sail larger 33' inboard diesel cruising boat
Description
Gain knowledge and build confidence for sailing a cruising keelboat! Learn how to skipper an inboard auxiliary-powered sloop in moderate conditions. Classes are taught aboard our Hunter 33’ sloop based out of Salem Harbor. Curriculum Includes: - Review of Sailing Theory - Cruising Sailboat Terminology - Basic Boat Systems - Auxiliary Engine Operation - Docking Maneuvers - Sail Trim - Navigation Rules, Collision Avoidance - Anchoring - Weather Forecast Interpretation - Safety and Seamanship Maximum of 4 students per class Skill / Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate Sailor Note: Private family classes available that can allow for a mix of sailing abilities! Your will sail aboard S/V Mashauwomuk, a comfortable and fast Hunter 33' out of Salem Harbor. DAILY SCHEDULE: Friday - Saturday - Sunday 10am - 1130pm - Morning Land-Based Classroom 12:00pm - 5:00pm - On-the-water Class COST: $899 per person REQUIREMENTS: We require that this course is preceded by a basic sailing course and/or the student has basic sailing capabilities and knowledge.
