Private Powerboat Training

Become more competent and confident operating a powerboat. Take friends and family out safely without stress, improving your enjoyment of boating.

The course consists of practical time on the water with an instructor on your own boat.

· Preparation and Planning

· Rules of the Road/Navigation Aids

· Engine Operation & troubleshooting

· Basic Electrical and Water systems

· Close-quarter maneuvers

· Docking, Mooring & Anchoring

· Operating at speed and trim controls

· Person overboard procedures

· Fueling procedures

· VHF Radio Operation

Private tuition can also be provided on a school boat, with advanced notice, for a cost of $150 per hour, minimum 2hrs.
