Florida Charter with Instruction

Escape the New England Winter for a week for the warm waters off the Florida Coast.

This is one of the most cost effective ways to experience the coastal cruising lifestyle and safely build days of experience for your sailing resume.

Structure

7 day and 7 night fractional charter of our 40' Beneteau Oceanis 40' Intuition, based out of Stuart Florida.

The price is per cabin, with 2 cabins required to be booked to run the week and includes all boat related costs: fuel water, moorings etc,  as well as a qualified instructor to keep you safe. Each cabin can accomodate two people.

Plan your route, maybe up and down the coast, along the intercoaastal waterway, or across to the Bahamas.

The instructor will keep you safe and will get invoved as much as you want, with help, guidance or even more formal lessons.

Begin by planning your route followed by a visit to the store to provision the boat for the week. Meals can be a mixture of eating on board and dinghying to restaurants ashore, based on the your preferences.

Use the week to build skils, or just kick back and let the instructor take the strain: Passage planning and preparation, sail plans for different weather conditions, safety, navigation, use of a VHF Radio, handling emergencies, boat systems and troubleshooting, basic first aid, crossing international borders, advanced mooring/docking/anchoring techniques, weather, tides, use and towing of a dinghy, and much more.
